Casa Punta Banco is a private jungle home where nature, privacy, unspoiled beaches and beauty abound. This 265 acres of primary Rain Forest has 1 1/2 miles of gorgeous beach, beautiful sunsets, waterfalls, streams and tide pools full of aquatic life. The open air house sets 250 ft. above the beach where you'll be caressed by gentle sea breezes and nurtured by the breathtaking panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and Osa Peninsula. This tropical house sleeps 14 with 6 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a fully equipped kitchen and a large living area where monkeys and birds can be seen munching in the fruit trees that surround the house.

There are 3 bedrooms with double beds, 2 bedrooms each with a set of twin beds and 1 bedroom with a double bed and a trundle bed. Three orchards can be found on the property where you can sample local and exotic fruits. Trails throughout the Rain Forest can be used for exploring, bird watching and horseback riding. World class fishing and surfing is nearby. The staff includes a caretaker/guide and a housekeeper/cook. Utilities and linens are included.

Ecstasy: We were overwhelmed with the beauty of Casa Punta Banco and the intensity of the plant and animal life. I had thought previously that I understood what nature was and what wildness meant.

- We loved snorkeling in the tide pools - saw many fish, starfish, sea urchins

- Given the nightly rain, the waterfall and stream were powerful and beautiful

- The Howler monkeys came as close as 100 feet behind the house - we loved to listen to them

- We had a few visits from the white faced monkeys at the feeding station

- We had many visits from the squirrel monkeys - sometimes up to 30 at a time. These monkeys took banana pieces from our hands.

- The ocean view from the upstairs balcony is spectacular. We spent many hours there, just watching and listening to the ocean. Sunsets were beautiful!

The Caretaker was wonderful to work with. I found him to be conscientious, and proud of Casa Punta Banco. I thought that he went out of his way to be helpful to us. He took us on a forest walk, took the girls on a horse ride through the forest, brought us fruit that he picked up from friends, and caught four huge lobsters for our final dinner (!).
